UnAmerican Activities Series

UnAmerican Activities is a poetry reading series held simultaneously in New York and the UK. The series connects audiences and readers on both sides of the Atlantic via live audio (and video) link. In the interval between readings, live video portals are opened in both venues so the audiences can converse. UnAmerican Activities is organized by Ian Heames, Luke McMullan and Sophie Seita.

UnAmerican Activities 3

For unAmerican Activities #3, Abigail Child read in New York and Wendy Mulford read in Cambridge. Abigail also showed two of her recent short films: 'ELSA merdelamerdelamer' (2013) and ‘If I Can Sing a Song about Ligatures’ (2009, with Nada Gordon).  A seven-strong choir also performed a piece by Michael Parsons based on Wendy Mulford’s poem 'Nevrazumitelny'.
