UnAmerican Activities Series

UnAmerican Activities is a poetry reading series held simultaneously in New York and the UK. The series connects audiences and readers on both sides of the Atlantic via live audio (and video) link. In the interval between readings, live video portals are opened in both venues so the audiences can converse. UnAmerican Activities is organized by Ian Heames, Luke McMullan and Sophie Seita.

The fourth unAmerican Activities event happened on Sunday, November 17th, with live audiences in New York (Page22) and Cambridge (Judith E Wilson Drama Studio), and was also broadcast on WKCR FM New York (89.9FM, and online here: http://tunein.com/radio/WKCR-FM-899-s30119/) a few weeks later. UnAmerican Activities 3

For unAmerican Activities #3, Abigail Child read in New York and Wendy Mulford read in Cambridge. Abigail also showed two of her recent short films: 'ELSA merdelamerdelamer' (2013) and ‘If I Can Sing a Song about Ligatures’ (2009, with Nada Gordon).  A seven-strong choir also performed a piece by Michael Parsons based on Wendy Mulford’s poem 'Nevrazumitelny'.
