Matt ffytche
Biography
Matt ffytche is Senior Lecturer in Psychoanalytic Studies at the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex. He is co-editor of the web-based digital archive, 'Deviance, Disorder and the Self'. His research focuses on the history of psychoanalysis and critical theories of subjectivity in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Criticism on contemporary poetry includes articles on George Oppen, John Wilkinson, J. H. Prynne, and Keston Sutherland. A long-term contributor of music criticism to the Wire, Matt has also worked as an editor on the magazines The Modern Review and Marxism Today and has written on cultural theory for the Guardian and the Independent on Sunday.
